Freelance 3D
artist, based in Edinburgh, UK. Available for on site or
remote working.
10/04/2010: Work is
finally completed on the 15 min short film adaptation of The Lost
Thing, a critically
acclaimed picture book by Shaun Tan.
Full production lasted aound 3 years. I was the CG and compositing lead
of a tiny crew, and was responsible for around 85% of the
modelling, texturing, lighting and compositing, pipeline and look
development, along with supervising a remaining section of the lighting
being done by another artist in Melbourne.
Animation duties were
excellently taken care of by Leo
Baker, with art direction,
concept work, oooodles of brilliant painted source material and too
much else to mention, from the uber talented Shaun Tan. The film was
directed by Shaun Tan and Andrew Ruhemann and produced by Sophie Byrne,
of Passion Pictures Australia.
